Each strand will have a moderator. Their role is to guide the discussions and reflection, as well as lead the group in reaching conclusions.
Moderators may be SEK or UCJC teachers, or other members of staff, such as members of the leadership team. Year 2 Bachillerato / Diploma students from SEK or UCJC students can also be moderators. In the case of students, they must submit a letter of recommendations from a teacher.
The moderator should be a dynamic person, willing to facilitate the discussion through questions and prompts. They must ensure that presentations respect the time limits and must lead the discussion and collaboration among strand members. They must encourage all members to take part and drive the discussion towards conclusions.
At the end of the Symposium, moderators will share a brief summary of their strand conclusions.
